Workplace Conflict is Costly! 

​An ongoing, escalating conflict between employees does not occur in isolation.  Left unresolved, even one destructive conflict can destroy the morale and productivity of an entire team or organization.  Difficult workplace conflicts lead to absenteeism, turnover, bullying, grievances, lawsuits, and, in rare cases, workplace violence.   What starts as a lack of civility between two team members can grow to become an ever increasing drain of time and energy.  

Workplace Mediation Works!

Workplace Mediation is a proven, cost-effective process that can help employees manage conflict quickly, prevent its reoccurrence, and build new hope and opportunities for a healthy and civil work environment.   

Individual Interviews ​

The first step in mediation is to schedule individual interviews with the employees involved.  We identify salient issues, listen to your employee’s concerns, provide coaching support, introduce practical strategies for improvement, and finally- set the stage for a joint business meeting, or mediation between the parties.

Mediation Meetings & Written Agreements    ​

The mediator facilitates a joint business meeting or mediation, attended by both employees, usually scheduled the same day following the completion of individual interviews.  Mediators facilitate a safe, neutral process in which employees can open up new lines of constructive, respectful dialogue and engage in difficult conversations.  The goal and outcome of mediation is a mutually agreed upon written action plan detailing specific steps the employees will take to improve their working relationship.  Mediation plans include practical problem solving and communication skills that each employee can apply and practice on a day-to-day basis.  The focus is on prevention, the timely management of differences and difficult situations in the future before they become destructive for all concerned.
