Leadership Coaching
Leaders set the tone. They are responsible for creating productive work environments based on civility and respect, and for modeling the way with their own behavior. The more they advance, the more leaders are challenged by the stress associated with their role. The pressure to succeed, to serve others, to manage change, to balance work and family can all take their toll. It’s no wonder that leaders at all levels in today’s workplace can find themselves struggling with their own self-care, behavior, and relationships. That’s when Workplace Civility Partners can make a difference!
A Development Plan
A leader’s development begins with an initial coaching conversation, the goal of which is to build trust and rapport, introduce the process, and complete a comprehensive needs assessment. Together, the coach and coachee identify areas for improvement and create a realistic action plan. Plans usually consist of two or three significant, measurable goals for positive change that they will be held accountable for during the coaching process.
Specified Number of Coaching Sessions
Following the initial coaching assessment, the leader and coach will schedule an agreed upon number of sessions delivered either in-person, via phone, or video conference. A typical design is to deliver up to six (6) conversations, (approximately 45 to 60 minutes in duration) and held every two or three weeks, depending on emerging needs.
Resources & Leader Progress Reports
As an ongoing partner in support of positive change the coach will provide a variety of resources to the leader to assist in their learning and practical skill building. These resources include need assessment tools, articles, books, videos, websites, handouts, and training content applicable to their identified needs. Throughout the process the coach will assist participating leaders in tracking and reporting their progress to key stakeholders.
